The RUGGEDBOOK SR820 is a compact ruggedized tablet computer equipped with an 8.9-inch sunlight-readable LCD display. It is powered by an energy-efficient 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530P processor and its complementing Intel US15WP SCH chipset. The device, which passed numerous MIL-STD-810G ruggedness tests, carries an IP65 ingress protection rating, can handle 4-foot drops, and is additionally protected by sturdy, replaceable rubber bumpers.
 
Features of the SR820 include state-of-the-art sunlight-readable and LED display backlight technology, up to 2GB DDR II SDRAM, an 1.8-inch 60GB hard disk or optional SSD (solid state disk) storage, as well as an optional integrated 2 or 5 megapixel camera, and optional bar code scanner and RFID reader. Communications capabilities include Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and an optional 3.75G WWAN module.
 
Providing superior functionality and performance, the SR820 also provides exceptional ease-of-use and ergonomics, satisfying users” demands in numerous applications, including hospitality, transportation, measuring, field service, logistics and telecommunication, etc.
